My name is Erin Gibson and I am a 26-year-old redheaded, treehugging, flower-sniffing, animal-loving vegetarian. I get excited about things like recycling, bats and really awesome Indian food. I collect cameras, dabble in gardening, and make the occasional misguided foray into the field of arts and crafts. I enjoy making friends who can hold a good conversation, maybe over a drink or two in a dive bar, and who love to laugh.

I run two Etsy shops – one for my photography and one for my vintage treasures.

I shoot with a variety of cameras, including Polaroids, medium format “toy” film cameras and my digital SLR. My favorite photographs are often those with glaring imperfections. While I mind the standard rules of photography when it suits my purpose, they are not my mantra. Just like imperfect people are sometimes the most beautiful, so are imperfect photographs.

I got involved with vintage sales because I think buying vintage is one of the kindest things you can do for the planet. Also, there’s the “they don’t make em like they used to” factor, which cannot be ignored. Why buy “retro inspired” housewares from a Big Box store when you can get the genuine article and create zero waste in the process? I try to find pieces that are timeless – items that are just as relevant now as the day they were made.
