How do I clean something contaminated by a a mercury battery leak?
I bought an old camera that I think has been in its leather case for years. When I opened it up I discovered a mercury battery had exploded and leaked inthe battery chamber, and it was caked with residue. I'm worried it might have soaked into the case... should I worry and what do I do?
i think you have a problem. you will have to send that camera to a repair shop in order to get it cleaned thoroughly. dont mess with it yourself it could be messy. if the camera is worth something then i would have it done otherwise i would chalk it up as a loss
