My DSLR view finder inside is dirty, how do I get it clean?
Hi guys, currently when you look through the view finder, you will see a bit of dust + some wipe stains due to my fault trying to clean it with a lens paper...But luckily it does not affect the image..
So how do I get it clean?
Unless your DSLR is 100% waterproof, submerging it in water will damage and cause electrical faults.
I'd just ignore the dust bits in the viewfinder. They don't affect picture quality and it generally is too much of a fuss to get the dust bits out. Plus, if the camera is opened up to clean, new dust will enter.
To clean the outer side of the viewfinder, I only use a small handheld air-blower and sometimes a fine brush. Pressurized air can damage delicate components. And any liquids are prone to spilling.
If you are really worried about the quantity of dust, then a yearly trip to an authorized service center should be plenty.
Hope this helps.
